7 simple steps to make an interesting conversation with a stranger

Make an interesting conversation with a stranger

1) Initialize the conversation by saying hello

  • This is the hardest part. Gather positive energy as much as possible.

2) Skip the general, most common questions like how you are doing? Whats up? . Ask more personal questions

  • Where do you come from?
  • Where do your family live?
  • What is your name and how your parents came up with your name
  • Is there a story behind your name?
  • How long have you lived in this city?
  • Do you remember the first day you landed here?

3) Find the me too s!!!

  • Honestly agree on something and find things in common between you and the other person
  • Don't put negative thoughts
    • If he/she says that she loves to eat fish, don't say that you don't like eww or something negative. It kills the conversation. If you really don't like that don't pretend either, instead you can find something really interesting anyway.

4) Pay a unique compliment

  • People don't forget how you made them feel about themselves.
  • Try and construct a compliment that is unique and genuine
  • don't lie
  • Be aware of complement immunity meter
    • For a model, they always get compliments on their beauty. Because of that even if you compliment them on their beauty, they will not feel it. : They are  immune to compliments about their beauty.

5) Ask for an opinion. That's when real communication begins.

  • Ask their opinion about something generic.
  • Don't ask opinions about something difficult. You will scare them off.
  • When they are giving their opinion, listen, actively.

6) Be Present

  • Be there in the present. Don't make yourself busy with other stuff.
  • Keep eye contact

7) Remember the little but most important details.

  • Their name, someplace, pet names, important aspects of their lives.

First Post

This is the first blog post, and I'm not quite sure yet what will I post in here. Anyway, at least my English will be better, that's the motivation.
